Is your company interested in being a sponsor in 2021-22?
Click here for full details! Deadline is August 15, 2021, but don’t wait, we only have room for 8 sponsors!
We run our fundraiser completely in house. This means all the student’s hard earned donations stay with us VS. fundraising companies who take 30-80% of the donations in fees! Sponsors help us off set the cost of purchasing prizes, t-shirts (for all students/staff) & printing costs.
Get your logo in a bunch of different spots… like on the back of 800 t-shirts (example pictured below), in the donation packet sent home with ALL of our students (examples from last year: click here, here & here (online donations), on a full color banner hung on the fence in front of the school (pictured below), and on our website (scroll down to see last year’s sponsors), in our newsletter and on our social media pages!!!! Did we mention we are a 501(c)3 non-profit!! Check with a tax professional to find out if your sponsorship is tax deductible.
Bonus: You may include a full page flier in our donation packet! (Flier will need to be approved by school prior to printing. You will be responsible for providing the flier. qty 750).

Giving Today Can Make a World of Difference Tomorrow
Cedar Wood PTA is an independent non-profit organization with the mission to enhance and support the school experience for our students, teachers, staff members and families. The Whale Walk is our main fundraising event that allows our school community to participate in raising money to support enriching educational experiences at Cedar Wood.
Even though the classroom looks different, the PTA still supports the Cedar Wood community in all sorts of ways!
The money that is raised supports emergency services, ensures that all of our possible programs are available, supports resources for the classroom including school supplies, as well as essential items to families and students in need. We provide grants and resources to Cedar Wood teachers and staff and fund virtual enrichment programs for students like Art Docents and Before and After School programs.
It is important that we bridge the gap between public funds and our actual expenses. Our goal is to ultimately help our kids thrive. This cannot happen without your donations! #WhaleWalk2020
What is the Whale Walk? How will it work?
The Whale Walk is our PTA’s ONE & ONLY all school fun-run/fundraiser. NO product sales & NO lap counting. Just collect donations and earn great prizes!
Even though this year will be a virtual event and we won’t be walking at school, every student can participate! The walk will take place on Friday, October 9, 2020 during the school lunch break (12pm-1pm). There will be four “stations” set up throughout the Mill Creek community at Pine Meadow Park, Highlands Park, Cedar Grove Park and Waxen Road Park (see the map below).
At 12:00, students can put on their Whale Walk shirt and walk, run, skip, hop, bike, skate, scoot or drive to any of the stations to take a photo, grab a water and a granola bar, and drop off their donation forms.
We will also be hosting our Fall Food Drive at the same time, so bring donations of food or gift cards and support the Mill Creek Food Bank.
Our school-wide goal is $38,000
Our target donation is $75 per student. Donate by cash, check or online. PTA donations are tax deductible. Employer matching programs from Boeing, Microsoft, Google, and others can help us reach our fundraising goal.
